About the Game
Mister Negative plans to achieve his goals by unleashing a deadly virus on the city (a little bit of COVID, perhaps?). Spider-Man must leap, run, swing, and use his webs to traverse the Manhattan borough of the fictional New York City, aiming his web-slings with precision to achieve his objectives. When Spidey is in too much of a hurry to swing, he can use fast travel via the subway.The physics are superb, allowing you to jump, swing, run, and generally move through a realistic yet somewhat superhuman environment—jumping higher, landing lighter, etc.—for gameplay. The game, already popular when it first released on consoles, remains solid and features four difficulty levels: Friendly, Amazing, Spectacular, and the later-introduced Ultimate, which correspond to easy, medium, hard, and challenging, respectively.
There's also a new mode: 'New Game Plus', which allows you to start the game from scratch, but with all suits and gadgets already unlocked so you can play more freely using all the gizmos and trinkets you shouldn't have access to in the early stages.

The game has a charming open-world feel, where Spider-Man can freely explore the city. He can also accept side missions, interact with NPCs, complete quests, and earn tokens, which are the in-game currency that allows you to buy items and unlock new useful suits and gadgets (such as electric webs, impact webs, which push enemies away and make them stick to whatever they hit, and concussion blasts).As you play and progress through the story, there are also collectibles to gather and additional content to unlock. As you'd expect from a Spider-Man game, combat primarily involves web-slinging, using the environment to your advantage, and chaining attacks to confuse enemies rather than taking them down in head-on combat.
