CONTEXT:

After crash-landing on this shape-shifting world, Selene must search through the desolate landscape of an ancient civilization for an escape. Isolated and alone, she'll have to fight tooth and nail if she wants to survive. Again and again she is defeated, and forced to restart her journey with every death. Through a fast-paced, unforgiving roguelike system, you'll find that as the planet changes with each cycle, so too do the items at your disposal. Each cycle offers new combinations, allowing you to push your limits and approach combat with a different strategy each time.

The dark beauty of the game's decaying world, brought to life with stunning visuals, is full of explosive surprises, from fast-paced, bullet-ridden combat to astonishing twists and turns in inhospitable and contrasting environments. Play with the DualSense controller to experience haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects.3 You can also use mouse and keyboard or other controllers, with fully customizable buttons. New accessibility options have also been added, such as a secondary fire reticle reload notification and a cooperative alert system. Dolby Atmos support has been added, as well as the option to select the type of 3D Audio support.4 Hear sound all around you with pinpoint accuracy that brings environments to life and helps you react.

Co-op Mode:

Thanks to co-op mode, you can share your adventure through Atropos' ever-changing labyrinth with another PC player.5 The hostile nature of Atropos will remain unwavering, but the possibility of working as a team brings a new perspective and new ways to survive. Each player controls a different version of Selene, from a different cycle. Using the Chronosis device located in each biome, the host player summons a friend or matches with another random online player. The host's progress determines the list of items available during the multiplayer session.

Tower of Sisyphus:

The next time you wake up at the crash site, look up. You should see a door leading to the Tower of Sisyphus, accessible as long as you've unlocked the Icarus grapple.5 In this Tower, prepare to face a new type of challenge. It's an almost endless ascent challenge that focuses on combat, scoring, and your progress, with exclusive items, scout logs, and yet-undiscovered fragments of Selene's story.
