Mortal Kombat 11 for PC is a 2.5D fighting game that celebrates – as its name suggests – the impressive twenty-seven-year history of the Mortal Kombat series. The main feature of this version of the game is the introduction of time travel throughout the Mortal Kombat timeline. A new modification in this game is the introduction of new combat mechanics, called Fatal Blows. These, however, are not available for execution at any time during combat. They can only be used when your health bar has dropped to dangerous levels. It is a kind of last resort in combat, a last chance to try to defeat your opponent before he or she defeats you.

Another novel aspect of the gameplay is that the attack and defense meters are now separated, so you can boost your attack to land a particularly strong blow, or you can boost your defense to perform clever escapes or counterattacks without consuming too much power.
