About the Game
The game map is divided into several sectors and each unit of six, under the control of a designated leader, must try to capture more of the map than the other team. There are two different game modes: Offensive and Warfare.In this game, communication is absolutely key, especially when playing with strangers who may or may not decide to obey orders. There are several ways to communicate: with proximity voice chat, for shouting at people near you; with unit voice chat, through which you take orders and can communicate with your unit leader; and leader voice chat, which allows unit leaders to communicate with each other and their own superiors. In addition to this, there is a text chat system, somewhat more informal.
The game’s maps are based on authentic World War II sites, using a combination of satellite imagery, archival footage, contemporary records, and even street-level recreations. During the game, try to keep an eye on the maps to see where everyone is, as the maps are so large that even the fifty people on your side can spread out quite a bit, never mind the six who are supposed to be your immediate companions.
All the in-game weapons and equipment are historically authentic. The developers went to great lengths to get this right, and to give you the best possible playing experience.
Get the Best out of the Game
Because you are randomly assigned unit mates, the experience is vastly different every time you play, with good tactical and patient leaders making for a very different unit than bullies who shout orders and get in their own way. Try to stick it out with the bad ones and remember what to do better when you’ve earned a promotion.Also, stay with your unit. You can wander off, but if you decide to go on your own missions, going it alone will get you killed, more often than not by a silent sniper’s bullet which will kill you before you even realise you are in danger.
If the game is not completely full, or if you are in a quiet area on the map, there will not be many players around and you can use your senses in a rather realistic way – for example, you can hear footsteps or incautious chatter, and dodge your enemies.
But in busier areas, near mission objectives for example, or if the game is completely full, then warfare is a little more realistic: noisy and confusing. Bombers fly overhead, bullets fly everywhere and it can sound and feel a little overwhelming.

There are a number of positions open for the eager and obedient soldier. While everyone starts off as a rank-and-file soldier, it won’t take you long to earn promotions and you can begin to specialise in the fourteen career paths, some of which are detailed below:Medic – rush about healing your fellow soldiers and earning their undying (hopefully) gratitudeEngineer – come up with creative solutions to crossing wide rivers, repairing roads and moreCrewman – is in it for the camaraderie and banter.
