About the Game
There is no mission per se, nor on-screen instructions to guide you in one direction or another: the game is a truly open world. So, test your wits and choose a direction to start wandering and see what you can find along the way!At the beginning, you'll have to rely on the most basic tools – for example, tying a rock to a broken tree branch to make a simple axe, which can then be used to craft other lower-tier tools. Simple tools can also be used to craft more complex tools, and soon you'll have a well-stocked toolbox at your disposal, allowing you to create high-quality items, including grenade launchers, industrial forges, and even force fields.
The lack of a story is the best story!
Unlike most games, this game does not have an overarching story to follow; instead, it asks you to set your own goals: you can try to climb the island's highest mountain, build your dream mansion, or choose any crazy objective that suits your own tastes.The purpose of the game is survival, and if gathering resources for it were a simple task, you would lose interest too soon. Getting the ingredients you need and making the tools to craft them correctly will take a lot of time: and time is what you'll need when predatory dinosaurs, angry beasts, and even other humans decide to hunt you down!
Taming animals is fun and relatively easy: just knock them unconscious and then feed them until they recover (Be warned: This is not the recommended way to treat anyone in real life, human or beast!)
In the initial stages, the beast-taming mechanic will be an absolute pleasure, but doing it with higher-quality animals will take more time: so much time (in real hours) that it might seem uncomfortable, so make sure to make good friends with the beast you choose as your companion for the journey before moving on to other tasks and chores that will help you pass the time.
